We want to thank and pay tribute to the hundreds of people who work at WA’s conservation department, Parks and Wildlife and the remarkable work they do for our national parks. Under difficult circumstances, and often in remote locations, they work long hours on behalf of all of us to protect our unique landscapes for future generations.
Year after year, the resources available to Parks and Wildlife have been reduced, while the challenge to protect nature only grows. Instead of expecting them to do more with less, government Ministers need to provide the resourcing essential to protect and manage the Create Ranger Parks properties and develop the tourism destinations that support our regional economies. A well supported government conservation agency represents a win for everyone and an investment in our future that will start rewarding Western Australia today.
